So Very Thankful

This is one of the times of the year when I pause to reflect; this is the time to express our gratitude.  While I have had struggles and faced challenges throughout my life, the ability to focus on my blessings and be grateful has always be very important. I fell I am abundantly blessed!

I have a wonderful family, my parents who are still struggling to reconcile the reality of my former marriage with their perception of my life. My sister and brother who laugh through life with me, irrelevant of the condition are so very important to me! My children who teach me to continue to embrace life with excitement and intrigue are a blessing beyond words.  My large circle of friends, they offer support and encouragement. My very close circle of friends, those who know the darkness but love me irrelevant of the situation have offered perspective and humor in all moment of my journey.

I am grateful that I found the courage move outside my comfort zone for it has been such an amazing adventure.  Because of that choice, I have experienced emotions that I had not previously and met people that have taught me lessons. I am so very grateful that I learned to not measure my life based solely on my previous experiences, to take the chance and trust my inner voice. I value the realization that I had a shift in my perspective, from not living my life concerned with being hurt, but focusing on my impact on others.

While I can say thank you, I do not feel I can express the level of gratitude.  I can only try to share the blessings that have been bestowed upon me but living my life with a focus on kindness and love. I can only hope to return to the world what I have received.

~So Very Thankful!
